Accountability Act (HIPM), that mandates new ways to handle patient

Information that will protect privacy. One option developed protects client
privacy at sign-in, where the identity of each patient is kept confidential."

With this method of sign-in in place, patients can't see others patients names/information. What's more, office personnel can either refer to patients by name or by number.

Each patient prints name, arrival time and "Name of Healthcare Professional"
on a numbered slip, then removes it. The information is transferred via carbonless paper to a master log. Once the patient removes the slip, the information is protected behind the carbon less paper  available only for office use.  The front desk attendant reads the log and calls each patient by name
or by number.

Each kit contains 40 sets, numbered I through 25, or enough slips to see 1,000
With one simple system, you're making one HIPM privacy worry disappear.
